House Fantasy – Glamping Inspired Bedroom

House Fantasy – Glamping Inspired Bedroom
Glamping Inspired Bedroom

It’s been a summer of mini escapes for us this year, we’ve had the chance to glamp twice, once at Camp Bestival with Hotel Bell Tent, and once in an amazing field of circus striped bell tents in Worcestershire. To prolong the summer and maintain that feeling of glamour and romance , today my house fantasy is a glamping themed bedroom. I’ve also drawn inspiration from Somerset Yurts, which we were lucky to review a couple of years ago.

From top to bottom…

I love this sunny yellow bedspread, from Ian Snow at Wayfair, I stumbled on the actual Ian Snow shop in Machynlleth in Wales over the summer, more to come on that in another post, but these bedspreads felt so soft in real life, and the patterns are so beautiful. I highly recommend them!

The lantern and mandala box are also from Ian Snow at Wayfair, although Wayfair have heaps of Moroccan style lanterns perfect for setting the glamping mood. This metal lantern is great value at £9.55.

At Somerset Yurts I loved the wrought iron beds, it’s a wonderful surprise to find a real bed in a yurt. I love the classic black and gold when it comes to wrought iron, but this white Pengily bed went so well with the yellow throw, and creates a softer look that seems to hold on to the last rays of summer.

Bunting are obviously essential, there are lots of floral bunting to choose from at Wayfair, but I liked the funky brights of the Ipanema bunting. There are lots more ideas for home made bunting in my ideas borrowed from Camp Bestival post.

The rug has to be round I think, to create that yurt or bell tent feel, I love the play of rich colours in this Home Essence hand woven rug.

These metallic tea light holders to bring a glimmer of sunshine and glamour. The Romany caravan by the river wall sign is from Wayfair too, you might also like these retro camping signs.

The Painted Glass Moroccan lantern comes in all kinds of stunning colours, I’ve picked out the most unusual colour, amber, but they are all dramatic.

The Little Robin floral armchair is perfect to cuddle under the wolf faux fur throw. Add a jug of wild flowers to the Living Nostalgia Water Jug and place on the Peach Two Tone table.

That’s my house fantasy, holding onto a wonderful summer all year round, now what would yours be?
