Don’t you just love crisps bright mornings, full of promise of the day ahead. Kicking leaves, collecting conkers, long dog walks with the family. I love this change of weather and autumn and winter, and I especially love the fashion that goes with it. So every autumn and winter there are always two things top of my wish list – a new coat, and boots.
I was invited to a fashion evening with Hotter Shoes, together with some other bloggers, to try out the new styles of the season. I’m already sold on the brand, and I’ve written about my love of the comfort concept that Hotter Shoes is known for before. Last year I was torn between two styles that I loved, and well this year was exactly the same, but more on that later.
If you haven’t visited a Hotter shoe store, please do so, they are really evolving and growing as a brand in the UK. The stores (all 71 of them) have a cool vintage vibe, with sofa’s at just the right level to try the shoes on, and the best staff in a shoe shop that you will ever meet. I defy you to find better!
Hotter are working with celebrity Style ambassador Alex Longmore, the range of shoes, is even better this year. They’ve played close attention to the trends of A/W 2014, but have ensured that each of the shoes is still packed full of comfort. This is called the comfort concept, and one I am definitely signed up for!
My first boot choice was the Shawbury, which comes in three colours and priced at £85. Great value for a boot like this, the leather is so soft, and the detailing spot on.
Designed in luxuriously soft leather, with deep elasticated sides and a zip feature, Shawbury is a timeless classic. A textured rubber sole adds flex with every step and pillow soft cushioning gives lasting comfort.
I think this is going to be my go-to boot of the season, it can be team with so many styles and trends, especially the 60’s and more masculine looks. The boot is incredible comfortable to wear, and even though I have size 8 feet, there is still the wiggle room for the toes. I don’t know about you, but I hate the feeling of them being all scrunched up. The soles of the shoes are filled with millions of bubbles, and that’s one of the things that Hotter is famous for. You see they started off making slippers, so now there objective is to make shoes as comfortable as slippers.
Now onto timeless fashion.
I have been looking for a pair of knee-high boots in black for a while, since last year in fact. I’d been really struggling to find just the right thing. Knee high boots for me need to be versatile and you must be able to dress them up and down. I want to be able to wear them with jeans for the school run, with thick black tights and a dress for meetings and events.
Well I found my perfect pair…
