At the end of last year, I was invited, along with a number of other homes and interiors bloggers, to join Wayfair UK’s Home Expert Panel. In 2017, in our roles as Home Experts, we’ll be sharing homes & interiors advice, suggestions and ideas with readers as well as Wayfair’s own website.
My first mission: Greenery.
In my first assignment a few weeks ago, I accepted Wayfair’s challenge to embrace everything green, with a mini makeover to celebrate Pantone’s glorious Colour of the Year 2017, Greenery. I was delighted with the finished result! It’s amazing how introducing a few key pieces, like soft furnishings, plants and ornaments can transform a living space and give it a completely different feel. My latest challenge: Blogger’s Picks.
For my second assignment, the Wayfair Team asked me to select my top 6 ‘Blogger’s Picks’ from different categories in their range and write a few sentences about why I like them.
Sounds simple enough, doesn’t it? However, it really isn’t that simple, because Wayfair has a MASSIVE range of products on their website, including: furniture, home furnishings, rugs, bed & bath, lighting, kitchen & tableware, garden, DIY and gifts.
As I’ve said before, I enjoy browsing Wayfair’s website because it has an ‘Inspiration’ section packed with ideas for every room. There are helpful guides on topics such as hanging wall art and styling shelves, as well as some great DIY projects to satisfy creative types.
In my opinion, one of the best things about Wayfair’s website is the option to create ‘Ideas Boards’ where you can save your favourite items. It’s a bit like creating a Pinterest board. To date, I’ve created an ideas board for my home office makeover and added my green-themed picks to a ‘Greenery’ ideas board, too. When I finally get around to organising our guest bedroom makeover, I plan on having an ideas board for that, too.
My Top 6 Wayfair ‘Blogger’s Picks.
Although selecting 6 items for my ‘Blogger’s picks’ was a challenge, I managed it in the end and I’m really happy choices. My final selections include some items I’ve had on my wish list for a while, (the station clock and the large mirror), as well as some absolute gems I’ve discovered along the way.
