Nature provides some of the best materials for craft activities. My house is surrounded by pine trees and therefore I am always looking for ways to use pinecones when decorating the house. One of the selling points for this house was the view from my backdoor. We are surrounded by protected trees and I never bore of watching the squirrels run and play in them. Other people may find treasures on the beach, be it driftwood or shells. All these things can be cleverly used to make stunning festive decorations. I am always amazed at craft fairs how much some of these accessories cost when they can be made for pennies and your time.
Therefore when Saltrock asked me to share their tutorials on creating beautiful Christmas decorations from natural material there was only one answer!
Handmade decorations always look brilliant, not only do you feel such satisfaction after making them but it is also a savvy way to get the latest looks on a budget. This time last year I made a Christmas rag wreath for under a £5 and I can’t wait to hang it up again!
