So I have a major crush on marble style wallpaper currently. Well in fact, on marble home accessories in general. After seeing many different styles, and researching them for the living room project, I thought I’d share 7 of the best marble wallpapers on my radar right now.
7 of the Best Marble Wallpapers
Murals Wallpaper – Bronze Cracked
One of the leaders in marble inspired designs right now is Mural Wallpapers. They really do have a fabulous collection, although you need to remember this isn’t conventional wallpaper on a roll, this is a mural designed to fit a specific wall size. Still, pretty cool right. I’ve picked out one of my favourites from their collection, the Bronze Cracked marble wall mural. Many of the marble designs are quite small in their pattern, but this one is big and bold and completely over the top, yet its lighter colourway makes it much more palatable for any room I think. Do you agree?

Graham and Brown – Rose and Gold
My second choice takes us to something darker and moodier. Graham and Brown Rose and Gold Marble Wallpaper is only £23 per roll. It’s the apparent movement within the design that catches my eye here as well as the sultry colours. Also available in different colourways if you fancy something less dramatic, from grey and white, to pebble and grey with silver. Great value paper at an affordable price.
Osborne & Little at John Lewis
Now for something a little brighter. Osborne & Little Matthew Williamson Makrana wallpaper is named after the marble used in the Taj Mahal. Apparently this design imitates end papers found in antiquarian books. So there you go, a little bit of background to the design on my choice from this higher end brand. Available from John Lewis for £64 per roll.
Murals Wallpaper – Soft Blue
Another of my choices from Murals Wallpaper – they really do have a wonderful selection. This one is called Soft Blue and is much more subtle than some of my other favourites. It has an almost ethereal quality about it and reminds me of Italian churches perhaps. Serene and peaceful, you can get your hands on this for £25 per sq. metre.
Piet Hein Eek at Lime Lace
Shall we take things up a notch? This one is a design from Piet Hein Eek, available at Lime Lace. This fantastic marble wallpaper creates a trompe l’oeil effect – appearing as a three-dimensional image but on a flat surface. What draws me to this particular design is the cool, crisp effect from the grey on white, and the more traditional marble appearance. Forming part of NLXL’s new Material Collection it retails at £175 per roll.
Burke Decor – Kemra Collection
Let’s combine two of the hottest trends around shall we? Checkout this marble and hexagon geo design from the US. Crisp white marble tiles surrounded by a copper ‘grout’ gives this wonderful honeycomb effect from the Kemra Collection design by Milton and King. International shipping is available and the design costs $132 per roll. Not the cheapest but. oh so beautiful.
Beut – White Marble
My final choice is another light and bright marble effect design from Beaut. This one retails at £45 per roll and has a detailed trompe l’oeil effect in a white a light grey. Really, you can see how different each one is to the other, yet they all have their basis in the same look. So, go with the one you feel most drawn to, and would enjoy looking at for some time.
So, do you have a favourite from this selection? Which of the marble wallpapers gets your vote?
